Coffee shops are no longer just a space to grab a quick latte. They have become a third space, a place to connect with yourself and with others. For me, when I think of a coffee shop, I think of somewhere where I can work, try something new, connect with a stranger, support local businesses, play games with my kids, do homework, catch up with friends, relax for a moment, and lastly, sit down and savor a delicious cup of coffee with a treat. Sometimes I am looking for a relaxing atmosphere, a beautifully crafted oat milk latte, a cute outdoor patio, a welcoming environment, or to join a new community. The coffee shops I am sharing are places in the Greater Sacramento area I find myself returning to again and again.

- Haraz Coffee House– Hot pistachio latte paired with a croissant.
- The Pour Choice– Cappuccino or a hot chai with anything from their rotating seasonal menu; it is all phenomenal.
- The Grazing Goose– Iced blueberry latte and the dill potato salad.
- Edwin’s Coffee & Tea– Iced pistachio latte with a jalapeño cheese turnover or a bagel sandwich.
- North Fork Chai Co.– Chai tea latte and a seasonal scone. (Fall is my favorite time to visit; their pumpkin scones are to die for!)
- The Mill– Wildwood flower latte paired with a yeasted hand waffle and syrup. (The I street location is my personal favorite)

I am very fortunate to live in an area with a lively coffee scene and great local shops. The list above is just some of the places I love and find myself returning to regularly. If you are ever visiting Sacramento, I hope you give one of these coffee shops a try. Most importantly, I hope that after reading this post, you feel inspired and encouraged to explore your local coffee scene. You might discover your new favorite place, drink, treat, or person. I would love to hear about your favorite coffee shops worth visiting. Until next time, my friends, happy sipping!
